Our reinforced PVC bladders are UV stabilized and designed for durability, with capacities available up to 520,000L. These bladders ensure no sun penetration, preventing algae growth, and are easy to transport.

WATER BLADDERS vs GALVANIZED DAMS (or plastic tanks)

WATER BLADDERS

  • Much easier to set up – only levelled, clean ground surface required
  • Much lighter and smaller to transport
  • Semi-skilled people to install
  • Installation time a few hours after ground preparation
  • Life span expected to exceed 12-15 years
  • Price per litre even with transport costs a lot cheaper
  • No sunlight penetration – completely closed system, black inner surface
  • Will not pop if pierced with a kitchen knife, can be easily patched
  • Constant water temperature of around 27 degrees, even if 90% empty

GALVANIZED DAMS/PLASTIC TANKS

  • A lot of preparation required, normally including a concrete ground slab or ring beam before installation
  • Transport costs a lot higher
  • Trained installers required
  • Installation time a few days after more extensive ground preparation
  • Life span could be about the same, rust possibly sets in earlier
  • Price per litre much more expensive, transport and installation added on.
  • No sunlight penetration ONLY IF A DOMED ROOF is installed
  • Possibly open to vandalism – removing flange, entering through roof?
